Pawtucket - Norma J. (Michael) Boardman, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph T.
Boardman for over sixty years.
Born in Hartford City, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late James “Bud” and Wilma (Sawyer) Michael and the step-daughter of Leona Michael of Montpelier, Indiana.
Norma had resided in Pawtucket for sixty years.
She was a 1978 graduate of the University of Rhode Island and had been a substitute teacher at the Woonsocket High School.
Norma was very artistic and enjoyed painting and crafting.
She made beautiful quilts and baskets that are enjoyed by many people.
She also loved her flower gardens and was an avid reader.
But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Edward M.
Boardman and his wife, Karren, of Pawtucket and William G.
Boardman and his wife, Dori, of Wakefield; five grandchildren, Emily, Andy, Sophia, Jay and Bonnie Jean Boardman; a brother, Thomas Michael of Tulsa, Oklahoma and three sisters, Irene Lutherbeck, Marolyn Love and Carolyn McDugle all of Haskell, Oklahoma.
She was the mother of the late Joseph T.
Boardman and the sister of the late Bonnie Avis.
VISITATION will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
