Nellie M. Van Dale

Pawtucket - Nellie M. (Szurley) Van Dale, 94, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Grandview Center, Cumberland.  She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late George J. Van Dale.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Soltys) Szurley.  Nellie worked as an inspector at Standard Romper in Central Falls for many years, and later at Texas Instruments in quality control.  She was a longtime member of St. Teresa Church, and later at St. Aidan's Parish, Cumberland.  Nellie loved to square dance and traveled extensively with her husband. She is survived by a son, whom she was a loving mother to, Bruce L. Van Dale and his wife Karla (Masiello) of Cumberand and many others including nephews, nieces, friends and fellow neighbors.  Services are private.  CheethamFuneralHome.com
