Nancy L. Simpson

Pawtucket – Nancy L. (Peterson) Simpson, 88, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

She was the wife of David C.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Kleckner) Peterson.

Nancy was a devoted wife, loving and beloved mother and grandmother.

Known to her grandchildren as ‘Mammy’ she adored them.

Her home was her pride and joy, which she lovingly decorated each and every season.

She filled it with not only love but her needlepoint, homemade wreathes, and cherished Byer’s Choice Carolers.

Her home was never complete without a treasured Boston Terrier pup.

Ocean City, New Jersey held a special place in her heart as she spent summers with family and friends from childhood to adulthood.

The smell of salt air and the sound of waves were her calling.

Her passions were crafting, talk radio and politics.

She was the anchor to her family during joyous and uncertain times and the center of unconditional love, generosity and especially laughter.

Her escapades will be remembered at every family gathering so that she will live forever in the hearts of her family and bring them eternal love and joy.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-eight years.

Along with her husband, Nancy leaves three daughters, Elizabeth “Betsy” L.

Boyer and her husband, Gregory, of Rumford, Carol L.

Smith and her husband, Christopher, of Mansfield, and Cheryl A.

Stoukides and her husband, John, of Seekonk; eight grandchildren, Molly Siener, Andrew Smith, Emily Stoukides-Whalley, Jessica Stoukides, Christian Boyer, Alexander Boyer, Geoffrey Boyer, and Mitchell Boyer; four great-grandchildren, Ellie Smith, Nora Smith, Cody Siener, and Blake Stoukides-Whalley, and a brother, Charles K.

Peterson of Escondito, California.

Family and friends are invited to attend services to be held on Saturday, March 4th at 11 a.m. in the Historic Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, followed by graveside committal prayers and interment.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
