Nancy J. Messier

Pawtucket – Nancy J. (LaFountaine) Messier, 84, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J.

Messier, Jr., who passed away in 2016.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Irene (McKeon) LaFountaine.

Nancy graduated from William E.

Tolman High School in 1958 and went on to a career in the area’s jewelry industry until her retirement.

She was a devout and lifelong parishioner at St.

Teresa Church in Pawtucket, where she was very actively involved in the parish.

Nancy was a member of the St.

Teresa Seniors and enjoyed bowling, dinners with friends, sewing and crocheting.

She was also a past-president of the Gatchell VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Pawtucket.

Above all, Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eight-four years.

Nancy leaves a son, Mark A.

Messier and his wife, Alicia, of Pawtucket; two grandsons, Matthew and Damien Messier both of Pawtucket; two siblings, Kenneth LaFountaine and Geraldine McVay both of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by ten of her siblings.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

VISITATION will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
