Pawtucket – Minerva (Hernandez) Carrion, 78, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Ildefonso Carrion Rosa, who passed away just four months ago. Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Guadalupe and Victoriana (Ruiz) Hernandez. In her youth, Minerva emigrated to the United States to Brooklyn, New York, where she lived until settling in Pawtucket in 1974. In her youth, Minerva worked as the secretary of Hanover Trust Bank, later went on to become a CNA, and after retirement became a devoted homemaker. Minerva was a very devout Catholic, and belonged to the former Holy Trinity Church in Central Falls; St. John the Baptist Church in Pawtucket and more recently St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish for over twenty years.
