Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Edward and Hazel (MacKenzie) Pierce. Michael worked as a quality control inspector at the former FRAM Corporation, East Providence, for over thirty years. His passion for antiques led him to own and operate the former A King’s Ransom antique shop on Hope Street in Providence during the 1960’s and 70’s. Michael volunteered in the thrift shop at Park Place Congregational Church for many years. Among his many talents, he had a keen ability to live a life of elegance in style and was always willing to share his skilled knowledge of decorating. He stood 6’ 4” tall, leaving big shoes that no one else can ever fill. Michael was truly one-of-a-kind, who dearly loved his family and friends and enjoyed many celebratory functions with them.
