Merilda L. Roy

Pawtucket – Merilda L. (Baron) Roy, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Robert H. Roy for fifty-five years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Adalbert and Annette (Tanguay) Baron. Merilda had been employed by the Paramount Card Company. Besides her husband, she leaves five sons, Robert T. Roy and his wife, Carol of Seekonk, Thomas W. Roy of Port St. Lucie, Florida, James A. Roy and his wife, Janet of Seekonk, Kenneth W. Roy of Pawtucket and Paul J. Roy and his wife, Nancy of Cumberland; a daughter, Theresa Y. Brousseau of Rumford; a sister, Annette Conti and her husband, Jack of Rumford; eleven grandchildren and a great-grandson. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
