Warwick – Maurice W. Fayerweather, Jr., 83, passed away at home on Friday, May 6, 2022. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Maurice W., Sr. and Margaret (Reels) Fayerweather. Maurice was a Native American and member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. He served in the United States Army and worked for many years as a talented carpenter. In his youth, Maurice was a pitcher for the Pawtucket Red Sox triple A baseball team. He was known for his fierce fastball which earned him the nickname “Fireball”. A true athlete, he also participated in several marathons. He was an avid fan of all sports and remained loyal to his home teams. Some of his other pastimes include, watching old western films, fishing, reading the newspaper, and studying the bible. He was also a very devout and spiritual man, whom maintained a strong enduring relationship with God.
