Maureen C. Fernandes

Pawtucket – Maureen C. (Welsh) Fernandes, 80, passed away at home on Monday, September 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Fernandes, Sr. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was one of five late children of the late Patrick and Catherine (Kennedy) Welsh. Maureen was a homemaker and enjoyed bus trips and visiting Cape Cod. She leaves a daughter, Leslie A. Jones of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; a son, Robert J. Fernandes, Jr. of Rehoboth; four grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Jones and Justine and Andrew Fernandes; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David P. Fernandes and Paul Fernandes. VISITATION will begin on Sunday at 2 p.m. followed by Services at 5 p.m. at CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
