Pawtucket – Matilda (Albuquerque) DaSilveria, 79, surrounded by her loving family, left to join her beloved late husband, Daniel DaSilveira on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Born in Portugal, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Rose (Amaral) Albuquerque.
Matilda was the proprietor of the former Smith Florists on Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket, for over twenty years.
In her younger days, she enjoyed camping, spending time by the water with her family and taking daytime drives, with her late husband to Cape Cod to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
Matilda was also a longtime member of the Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity in East Providence, The Portuguese Continental Union, Lodge #49, Pawtucket, the Knitting Club at St.
Raymond Church in Providence and Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness, where she enjoyed water aerobics classes with her friends.
Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend.
Matilda leaves two sons, Daniel DaSilveria and his wife, Robin, of North Attleboro and Antonio DaSilveira and his wife, Beth, of Seymour, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Olivia; six step-grandchildren, Anthony, R.J., Samantha, Zachary, Ashleigh and J.R.; three siblings, Mary DaNave of Seekonk, Cecilia Pinto of North Providence and George Albuquerque of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Christine Albuquerque.
Her funeral will be held on MONDAY at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
VISITATION will be SATURDAY from 3 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St.
Mary Church Renovation Fund, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.
