Matilda "Tillie" D. Fortunati

South Attleboro - Matilda “Tillie” D. (Lapham) Fortunati, passed away at home on Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Fortunati. Born in Seekonk, the daughter of the late Wilbur D. and Blanche M. (Arpin) Lapham, she resided in Pawtucket before moving to South Attleboro 25 years ago. Tillie had been employed by the Ledgemont Country Club, Fram and the Harvest Bakery. She gave freely of her time and talent by volunteering for many different organizations including the Memorial Hospital of RI and Meals on Wheels. She leaves her daughter, Robin L. Young and two grandchildren, Jason David “JD” Young and Bailey M. Young all of South Attleboro; a brother, David Lapham of Seekonk; nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donald Lapham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
