On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Matilda “Tillie” Conlon, 97, of Lebanon, ME, formerly of Pawtucket, RI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She has graduated from the Church Militant to the Church Triumphant.

Tillie loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God’s Word.

She was a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family and community.

Tillie was born in Methuen, MA on January 23, 1924 to the late Arthur J.

Teixeira and Mary Rose (Santos) Teixeira.

She was also the stepdaughter to Carlotta (Gouveia) Teixeira.

She was the youngest of 6 children, the late William, Joseph, Anthony, and Arthur Teixeira, and Mary Pavao.

Tillie met the love of her life, William “Bill” Conlon at a café in North Providence, they were married on November 19, 1946.

The Lord blessed Bill and Tillie with three children.

Tillie worked in the textile and jewelry industries for many years before retiring in the eighties.

For more than 20 years, Tillie was a dedicated Girl Scout leader for troop 445 in Pawtucket, RI.

She was an active member of Lighthouse Family Church for many years where she was a faithful volunteer at their food bank, ran the church thrift shop and ushered at all church services.

She especially liked ushering at many of the combined church women’s retreats held in the New England area.

Tillie was lovingly known as grandma to all.

Grandma will forever remain in the hearts of everyone and anyone that knew her.

Tillie is survived by her three children, Dorothy Feragne and her husband John, William "Billy" Conlon and his wife Renee, and Donna Fredette and her husband Robert.
