Mary M. Sienko

Melrose, MA – Mary M. (Grimes) Sienko, 88, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late John W.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late John F., Sr. and Florence (Fanning) Grimes.

Mary graduated in 1954 from the former Sacred Heart High School, Pawtucket, and continued her education at Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked as an X-ray technician for the late Raymond H.

Trott, MD, for several years in Pawtucket.

She retired from the Pawtucket School Department where she worked as a teacher assistant at Henry J.

Winters and Fallon Memorial Elementary Schools.

Mary enjoyed following politics and spending time by the beach at her home in Narragansett with family and friends.

She is survived by a son, J.

David Sienko and his wife, Jeanne Wolf, of Warwick; a daughter, Sharon A.

Burton and her husband, William Burton, of Melrose, MA; four grandchildren, Benjamin J.

Sienko and his wife, Audrey, Jacob P.

Sienko; two great-grandchildren, Jensen and Palmer, and a sister, Patricia Atamian of Pawtucket.

She was the sister of the late John F.

Interment at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, will be private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Cheetham Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
