Mary T. Roy

Pawtucket – Mary T. (Salhany) Roy, 97, passed into the Hands of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

The wife of the late Valrian A.

She was a daughter of the late Elias and Helen (Barakat) Salhany.

Mary was employed by the Pawtucket School Dept., Salhany’s Pharmacy and Robinson Rayon, she spent most of her life as a homemaker.

She was a strong advocate for independent living; she was able to maintain her own apartment up until her last days at the Doyle Manor, with the very capable assistance of her C.N.A., Sue, her family, friends and many others.

Roy his wife, Joan, Rose Zagroski her late husband, Edward, Jr., Margaret Alexion her husband, James, and Theresa Johnston Walsh her husband, Anthony; 15 grandchildren, Christine, Colleen, Cheryl, Craig, Michelle, Denise, Edward III, Diane, Michael, Karen, Karri, Kathy, James, Kristen and Michael; 28 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St.

Basil the Great Church, 18 Skyview Dr., Lincoln.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
