Gypsum, Colorado - Mary “Betty” E. (Shaw) Carroll, 90, passed on to her eternal life at the home of her daughter, Pinky in Gypsum, Colorado, on November 30, 2013. She was the wife of the late Martin F. Carroll, Jr. for 53 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Aurora (Tetreault) Shaw. Betty worked as a bookkeeper and was co-owner of Atlas Trucking Company. She was very talented in crafts and loved to play Bingo and cards. Betty leaves six children, Robert Carroll of Cumberland, Dennis Carroll of Cranston, Catherine Poirier of Warwick, Pinky Sirois in Colorado, Martin Carroll in Tennessee and Patricia Carroll in Florida; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Loretta Meiklejohn, Ruth McKewen, Helen Winters, Joan Schofield, Daniel and Albert Shaw. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
