Attleboro – Mary G. (Fletcher) Brooks, 96, of South Attleboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of the late George P.

Brooks who passed away in 2021.

Born in Pawtucket, Mary lived most of her life in South Attleboro.

She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Margaret (Gray) Fletcher.

Mary worked as the secretary for the New England Paper Tube Company in Pawtucket until her retirement several years ago.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed being very active, whether it was skiing, hiking the Appalachian Trail and Mountains, and playing tennis or golf.

She enjoyed all these activities along with her late husband.

Together they enjoyed these activities well into their 80’s.

Above all, Mary was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them at their family’s vacation home in New Hampshire and attended all her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Mary leaves a son, Timothy G.

Brooks and his wife, Mary Lou, of Attleboro; a daughter, Patricia M.

Brooks of Attleboro; four grandchildren, Matthew DeTore of Attleboro, Kelley Beattie and her husband, Adam, of Norton, Andrew DeTore of Attleboro and Christopher Brooks and his wife, Brielle, of Foxboro, and three great-grandchildren, Blake, Awnan and Griffin Beattie.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, June 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by Services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment with her late husband will follow at Newell Burying Ground in Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Gentiva Hospice, 275 Martine St., Suite 202, Fall River, MA 02723 would be appreciated.
