Mary Gertrude Berard

Cumberland – Mary Gertrude (Davis) Berard, 88, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Berard. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Christopher and Catherine (Goodwin) Davis, she resided in Cumberland since 1955. Mrs. Berard had been employed by Fram; the Cumberland School Lunch Program and Texas Instruments until retiring in 1988. She was a former volunteer at the Memorial Hospital of RI and was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Bowling League. She leaves two daughters, Karen M. Stott and her husband, Gary and Leslie A. Vartanian and her husband, Michael all of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Alison and Jonathan Stott, Kristen, Lisa and Mitchell Vartanian and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Agnes Andrews, Catherine Boyle, Veronica Gingras and Joseph Davis. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301...
