Seekonk – Mary E. (Legendre) Bento, 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Bento.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Lyons) Legendre.

Mary worked for many years as a cable maker at V-Tron Electronics Corporation in Pawtucket until her retirement years ago.

She enjoyed travelling, especially trips to the Dominican Republic and camping at Fishermen’s Memorial State Park and Campground in Narragansett.

She and her husband traveled extensively to many places, including Spain, Portugal and Hawaii.

She fulfilled a lifelong dream when she traveled to Ireland with her sisters and brother-in-law.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her family and dear friends.

She was devoted to her family.

She leaves a daughter, Cynthia B.

Potter and her husband, Scott; two grandchildren, Cory Potter and his wife, Megan, and Kristen Potter; two great-grandsons, Abel and Levi Potter all of Seekonk; three siblings, Ernest Legendre and his wife, Louise in South Carolina, Sheila Gray and her husband, David, of Lincoln, RI, and Irene “Bunny” Taylor in Pennsylvania.

Mary also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Francis M.

Bento and the sister-in-law of the late James “Bud” Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Ave. in Seekonk MA at 10:00 AM, followed by a private interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
