Marsha G. Metcalf

Cumberland – Marsha G. (Garber) Metcalf, 77, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014. She was the widow of the late Dr. Paul Metcalf. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Jacob W. and Grace (Waugh) Garber. Marsha worked as an x-ray technician at the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket and Notre Dame Hospital, Central Falls, she later worked in medical records at PSRO and at the office of Dr. Jack Goldstein until her retirement. She enjoyed sailing; playing cards; following horse racing; traveling to Bermuda and following college basketball. Marsha was a Providence College Friars season ticket holder and an avid follower of the Big East Conference. Marsha leaves her loving companion, Vincent J. Doyle and a cousin, Sandra Skwirz both of Cumberland. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St. Interment will be private....
