Marlene A. Francis

Pawtucket – Marlene A. (Joseph) Francis, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of the late John A.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Iad and Albertine (Girourard) Joseph.

Marlene’s family relocated to Pawtucket in the 1940’s and she graduated from the former Pawtucket East High School in 1950.

She worked on the assembly line at Hasbro, Inc., for many years prior to working at Kmart, where she ultimately retired in 1997.

Marlene loved planting her gardens annually, as well as watching old westerns and the Hallmark Channel.

Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy, as they kept her feeling young and full of life.

Marlene’s presence will be dearly missed by her family, friends and the animals she loved dearly.

She is survived by her four loving children, Deborah Corazzini of Providence, John G.

Francis of Pawtucket, Donna Sousa and her husband, Emanuel, of Seekonk, MA and Jeffrey Francis and his wife, Barbara, also of Seekonk, MA, and six grandchildren, Christopher Corazzini of Providence, Katelyn Findlay and her husband, Jacob, of Taunton, MA, Anthony Sousa of Seekonk, MA and Zachary, Perry and Cameron Francis, also of Seekonk, MA.

She was the mother of the late Douglas K.

Francis, and sister of the late Kenneth E.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m., concluding with Services at 7:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with her late husband and son in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marlene’s memory to a local animal shelter of your choice, or the RI SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915 would be greatly appreciated.
