Chelsea, MA – Mark Vardakis, 75, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late George and Frances (Ross) Vardakis.
Mark graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, Class of 1965, and went on to study economics at Providence College, where earned his bachelor’s degree in 1969.
He later served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
When mark returned home, he went to work at his family’s business, the former Mr.
V’s Restaurant in Coventry, Mark was also was an avid autograph and coin collector and fan of all the New England sports teams.
Mark leaves two daughters, Melissa DeJoseph and her husband, Jason, of Richmond, RI, and Jessie Vardakis of Warwick, two granddaughters, Alexandra, and Joanna DeJoseph; a brother, Paul Vardakis and his partner, Martha Robertson, of Westminster, MA; a sister, Athena Vardakis of Warwick, and two nephews, Christopher, and Andrew Vardakis.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Visitation and Services at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 24th at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket.
