Pawtucket – Mario Rosario, 76, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Maria D. (Sousa) Rosario for fifty-three years.
Born in Avinho, Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Emilia (deAndrade) Rosario, he resided in Taunton before settling in Pawtucket fifty-three years ago.
Mario was the proprietor of the former Dollar Derby Liquors, Pawtucket for twenty years until retiring, and was previously employed by Health-Tex.
He was a member of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente.
Besides his wife, he leaves three children and their spouses, Tereza and Joseph Pereira of Pawtucket, Mario and Chelsea Rosario of Warwick and Arminda and Mike Pires of Rehoboth; six siblings, Maria Almeida of Taunton, Laura Goncalves of Pawtucket, Linda Ribeiro of Taunton, Antonio Rosario of Dighton, Delfim Rosario of Somerset and Carlos Rosario of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Eric Pereira, Justin Pereira, Shayna Rosario and Connor Pires and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mt.
VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.
