Marie R. Harris

Seekonk – Marie R. (Vallee) Harris, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J.

Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Leniere and Marieanna (Boucher) Vallee.

Marie worked for many years as a waitress at Chelo’s Restaurant on Silver Spring Street in Providence.

She was also a devout communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish (formerly St.

Mary Church) on Coyle Drive in Seekonk, where she enjoyed attending Mass.

Marie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed spending quality time with her beloved family.

She also loved caring for her feline companion, “Jean Pierre” and taking leisurely drives in the snow.

Marie will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety years.

She leaves five children, Debra Carolan of Seekonk, Vicky Harris-Wolfe of Seekonk, Lori Harris of Pawtucket, Eric Harris of Dartmouth, and Rita Magrath and her husband, Raymond, of Seekonk; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews including her dear niece, Jackie LeBlanc.

Marie was the loving mother of the late Cheryl Harris and the sister of the late Gerard Vallee and Theresa Trombley.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 14th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Coyle Drive, Seekonk.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
