Pawtucket – Marie M. (Battista) DeLange, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur E.
Born in Elmsford, New York, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Oliva (Luchi) Battista.
Marie was a homemaker and also worked as a dietary aide at Memorial Hospital for many years.
Marie gave of herself as volunteer at the Salvation Army and a member of the Home League for many years.
She was also a longtime volunteer at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center, Pawtucket, where she would deliver hot meals to the residents of many of the area’s nursing homes.
Above all, Marie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and especially enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Marie leaves a daughter, Donna DeLange of Pawtucket; two sons, Kevin DeLange and his wife, Jackie of Seekonk and Stephen DeLange of Pawtucket; four grandchildren, Brendon and Travis DeLange, Courtney VanNurden and Brittney DeLange and three great-grandchildren, Lola DeLange, Magnus and River VanNurden.
She was the sister of the late Vincent Battista.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
VISITATION will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps, 102 High St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.
