Marie T. Burda

Seekonk – Marie T. Burda, Marie grew up in Pawtucket, RI, in a family foster home from the ages of 9-18 years old. She attended school through the 12th grade in Pawtucket. She was raised by Jesse Quirk and Ann Parkinson. Her sisters were Joy, Jen and Grace. At 19 years old, Marie married Peter “Porky” Burda, whom she had three children with. Those children being, Lynn, David and Thomas. At that time the family lived in South Attleboro for nine years. Then they moved to Rehoboth and raised their kids in town for 10 years. Porky and Marie then decided to move north to Sandwich, NH. They resided there for twenty-five years. Marie worked at Moultonborough Academy and loved working there with all the kids. In her twenty-third year of residency, Porky became ill. Marie took 24 hour care of him by herself. Around that time Marie had lost her youngest grandchild, Mariah Burda.
