San Diego, CA – Mariam (Kholi) Al-Amir, 90, formerly of North Attleboro and Pawtucket, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Escondido, California. She was the beloved wife of the late Salim Al-Amir. Born in Damascus, Syria, she was the eldest of four children of the late Moses and Warda Kholi. Mariam and her late husband owned and operated a family run restaurant for many years until retirement. When Mariam resided here, Mariam was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Pawtucket, where she and her late husband were faithful members making the Kurban each week. Mariam will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety years. Mariam leaves five children, Lorice El-Khaouli, Nicholas Al-Amir, Sam Al-Amir, Charles Al-Amir, and Rosemarie Robles. She was the mother of the late Elaine Al-Amir, Houda Gammal, and Joseph Al-Amir.
