Maria Graca Sousa

Pawtucket – Maria Graca (Ferreira) Sousa, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel P. Sousa. Born in Furnas, São Miguel, Açores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Irene (Tavares) Ferreira. Maria came to the United States in her younger days and worked at American Insulated Wire Co., Pawtucket, for over twenty-seven years, until her retirement in 1995. She was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers. Above all, Maria was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
