Maria Silvia

Pawtucket – Maria (Brodel) Silvia, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving daughter. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Anna M. (Deffner) Brodel.             Maria immigrated to the United States in 1959 and settled in Pawtucket where she dedicated her life to tending to her family. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Pawtucket, and a member of the German-American Cultural Society of Rhode Island. Maria most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her late pup, Precious. She is survived by three daughters, Jane Gibney of Attleboro, Karen Lopez and Ramona Silvia, both of Providence; three grandchildren, Duane Lopez, Christy Langley and Mercedes Silvia; three great-grandchildren, Lucy Mae, Duane and Hailey, and many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving sister of her six late siblings. Funeral Services will be private. Floral tributes and visitation are respectfully omitted.
