Maria Leonia Machado

Seekonk – Maria Leonia (Gonsalves) Machado, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Henrique Machado. Born in Faial, Azores, Portugal, a daughter of the late Joao and Rosa (Goulart) Gonsalves, she resided in Pawtucket before moving Seekonk in 1999. Maria was employed by Hasbro, Pawtucket, for eight years until retiring in 1995, and was previously employed by Texas Instruments, Attleboro. She leaves two daughters, Ana M. Machado and Paula Machado Roux; a son, Henry G. Machado all of Seekonk; three grandchildren, Christiana Roux, Joshua Roux and Augusta Fantasia; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Analise, Matthew and Enzo Fantasia. She was the sister of the late Manuel Gonsalves, Jose Gonsalves and Luduina Gonsalves. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Dr., Seekonk....
