Maria Conceicao Jorge

Pawtucket – Maria Conceicao (Alberto) Jorge, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday. February 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Luis Santos and the late Jose G. Jorge. Born in Pico, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Alice (Ferreira) Alberto. Maria emigrated to the United States in 1970 and has made her home in Pawtucket since.  She worked as an assembler at Levin Plating Inc. in Pawtucket for many years until her retirement several years ago. Maria was a longtime member of the Amigos da Terceira in Pawtucket and was proud of her Portuguese Heritage. Above all, she was a devoted mother and enjoyed caring for her home and her family.  Maria leaves six children, Jose Santos of Pawtucket, Fatima Abreu and her husband, John, of Pawtucket, Maria Lourdes Watkins of Warwick, Fernando Jorge and his wife, Jenny in Maine, Madalena Lima and her Husband, Patrick, of Cumberland, and Sarah Jorge of West Warwick; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren, and a...
