Pawtucket – Maria Bernadette (Soares) DaSilveira, 87, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of Jose S.
DaSilveira for 58 of years.
Born in Sao Jorge, Acores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Antonio Alves DaCunha and Maria Bettencourt (Soares).
Maria was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress having sewn many beautiful articles for her family over many years.
Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Besides her loving husband, Maria Bernadette leaves five children, Joe Silveira of Pawtucket, Gabriel Silveira of Barrington, Helder Silveira of Bristol, Gorete Silveira of Miami, Florida and Manny Silveira of Pawtucket; ten grandchildren, Shana Silveira of Warwick, Briana and Nicholas Silveira both of East Providence, Serena and Ethan Silveira both of Pawtucket, Nathan and Erika Silveira both of Bristol, Evan, Brandon and Colby Silveira all of Barrington; six siblings, Antonio Alves of Cranston, Julio Alves of North Providence, Alda Silva and Maria Teixeira both of Pawtucket, Fatima Viera and Francisca Severino both of Sao Jorge, Acores, Portugal.
She was the sister of the late Adelina Amarante.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
CALLING HOURS will be Monday 5 to 8 p.m.
