Pawtucket – Maria Rosa (Abreu) Bolarinho, 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of Joao M.
Born in Madeira, Portugal, Maria resided in East Providence for most of her life until moving to Pawtucket, eighteen years ago.
She was a daughter of the late Manuel and Candida (Sousa) Abreu.
Maria was a parishioner of St.
Francis Xavier Parish in East Providence for many years.
She devoted her life to raising her children and tending to her home where she shared many homemade Portuguese meals with her family.
Maria will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Besides her loving husband, she leaves four children, Sergio C.
Bolarinho and his wife, Maria, Joao B.
Bolarinho and his wife, Sidonia, Ofelia E.
Almeida and her husband, Mario, all of East Providence and Leonardo J.
Bolarinho and his fiancée, Monika, of Pawtucket; four siblings, Flismina Vales, Manuel Abreu, Candido Abreu and Fatima Santos and eight grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Francisco and Paulo Abreu.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter St., East Providence.
Interment will follow at Mount St.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be held on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
