Maria F. Araujo

Araujo, 85, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 surrounded by her beloved family.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Amelia (Gregorio) Araujo.

A lifelong resident of the city, Maria was a longtime communicant of St.

Mary’s Parish, Pawtucket.

She worked as a clerk for the Department of Human Services, Pawtucket, for many years prior to retiring.

Maria was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan who enjoyed rooting for her team and keeping an eye on the stats.

She loved playing cards with her family, taking pictures and sharing meals together.

Maria was a devoted daughter, sibling, aunt and friend who loved everyone unconditionally.

She leaves two nieces and a nephew, who selflessly oversaw her well-being, Jody Norberg and her husband, Christopher, Michael Araujo (godson) and his wife, Marylou, all of Pawtucket, and Kristen Angela and her husband, Daniel, of Lincoln and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was the sister of the late José, Manuel and Elena Araujo.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday beginning with VISITATION at 10:00 a.m. followed by Services at 11:30 a.m. in WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment in the family lot will follow at Mount St.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
