East Providence – Margaret W. (Nimmo) Keenaghan, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo F. Keenaghan. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Whyte) Keenaghan. Margaret worked in sales at the former Shartenburg’s Department Store, Pawtucket, and was a volunteer at the Hospice House Soup Kitchen at Notre Dame Church over 15 years. She received the Feinstein Merit Award in 1994 from Sen. Claiborne Pell. Margaret leaves 3 sons, James M. Keenaghan of Santa Fe, NM, Edward J. Keenaghan of Seekonk and Robert F. Keenaghan of Fall River; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Edwin Irons in Georgia. She was the sister of the late Grace Pelski and Barbara Howard. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Interment will follow at Resurrection...
