East Providence – Margaret W. (Nimmo) Keenaghan, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leo F.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Whyte) Keenaghan.
Margaret worked in sales at the former Shartenburg’s Department Store, Pawtucket, and was a volunteer at the Hospice House Soup Kitchen at Notre Dame Church over 15 years.
She received the Feinstein Merit Award in 1994 from Sen.
Margaret leaves 3 sons, James M.
Keenaghan of Santa Fe, NM, Edward J.
Keenaghan of Seekonk and Robert F.
Keenaghan of Fall River; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Edwin Irons in Georgia.
She was the sister of the late Grace Pelski and Barbara Howard.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Margaret’s memory to the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.
