Pawtucket – Margaret E. (Grimley) Bernard, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth A.
Bernard, Sr., who passed away in 2022.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, Margaret was the daughter of the late William P. and Alice M. (Kelly) Grimley.
Margaret worked for many years Citizens Bank and was known by all as the “Mayoress of Pawtucket”.
She was a longtime parishioner of St.
Teresa Church in Pawtucket where she served as both a member of the parish choir and a Eucharistic Minister.
Margaret also loved children and was a longtime volunteer as a house mother at the children’s group homes.
Above all, Margaret enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety years.
Margaret leaves a son, Kenneth A.
Bernard, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Pawtucket; six grandchildren, Kenneth Bernard, III, Justin Bernard, John McParlin, Raymond McParlin, Jeremy Bernard, and Joseph Bernard; fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William Grimley.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
VISITATION will be held on Sunday, February 2nd from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St.
Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St.
Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
