Pawtucket – Marcia L. Siniak, 82, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Walter A. and Mary B. (Sepanek) Siniak.

Marcia worked for many years as an educator. Initially in this capacity, she spent 3 years overseas in Okinawa, Japan, followed by 2 years in Bangkok, Thailand. She returned to the States and worked in Washington, D.C. and then in Portsmouth, RI. She completed her career as a Reading Specialist in the Pawtucket School Department. Marica was a voracious reader as well and loved mysteries and thrillers.

Marcia had a love for music and worked as a concert usher for several seasons at both Great Woods and Sullivan Stadium. She drew great strength and peaceful serenity by trekking along miles of coastline as an avid shore walker. Marcia’s favorite pastime was collecting sea glass, along with shells and rocks that the ocean left at her feet. She had a great deal of compassion for animals, both those that she kept as pets and also those that she observed in the wild. Last but not least, Marcia was an avid sports fan who rarely missed watching any Boston sports game and loved baseball and football in particular.

She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-two years.

Marcia leaves her beloved younger sister, Andria L. Palange of Seekonk; her brother-in-law, Dennis Jacques of Cumberland; her nephew, Jonathan Barry and his partner, Dara Bayer, of Boston; her niece, Olivia Palange of Seekonk and her great-niece, Amari Barry. She was the sister of the late Claudia A. Jacques, partner for many years of the late Michael Bergeron, and the sister-in-law of the late Paul Palange.
