Manuel C. Mendonca

Manuel C. Mendonca, 72, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Born in Faial, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of Rosa (Goulart) Mendonca of Pawtucket and the late Domingos Mendonca. Manny came to the United States as a young man and settled in Pawtucket, and had resided in Rehoboth before moving to Taunton in 1976. He was an auto mechanic at Elmwood Dodge, East Providence for twenty years until retiring in 2002. Manny was an avid soccer fan and loved spending time with his family and his dogs. Besides his mother, he leaves his former wife, Elizabeth (Hudson) Slattery; two sons, Manuel C. Mendonca, Jr. and Dean M. Mendonca and his wife, Kathleen; a daughter, Lianne E. Mendonca and three grandchildren, Hannah Cromwell, Ryan Mendonca and Megan Mendonca all of Taunton. He was the brother of the late Jose R. Mendonca.
