Pawtucket – Manuel “Manny” DeCosta, 71, passed away after a brief battle with terminal cancer on Friday, October 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Donahue) DeCosta for thirty-six years. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Margaret (Stanley) DeCosta. Manny worked as a crane operator for both, the former Washman Wire, Riverside and Castellucci Marble & Granite, Inc., Lincoln. He retired in 1990 from George W. Smith & Sons, Pawtucket, where he worked as a brick pointer. Manny was an avid New England sports fan who enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Pawtucket Elks golf league, along with his son, Kyle, and won the 2014 championship together. His presence will be dearly missed by the lives he has touched over the years.
