Manuel Antonio Arruda

Pawtucket – Manuel Antonio Arruda, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, after a brief illness.

He was the beloved husband of Evangelina (Mauricio) Arruda for forty-eight loving years.

Together they would have celebrated their 49th anniversary on May 19th.

Born on the island of São Miguel, Açores, Portugal, he was a son of the late José and Maria DosAnjos (Faria) Arruda.

Manny worked for many years at American Insulated Wire, in Pawtucket, and was devoted to his family.

He had a passion for farming and gardening and was an avid soccer fan.

Above all, Manny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past seventy-three years.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves three sons, Mauricio Manuel Arruda and his wife, Daniela O.S.

Arruda, of Pawtucket, Lario Correia Arruda and his wife, Colleen Grimes, of Rumford, and Gualberto Correia Arruda of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Vanessa Arruda, Brittany and Jordan Grimes; three siblings, Eduarda Faria Arruda of São Miguel, John Arruda in Canada, and Lúcia Faria Bandarra of São Miguel, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Maria Do Carmo Arruda.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION to be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Services will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Newell Burying Ground in Attleboro.
