M. Rose Mccabe

Rose (Keenan) McCabe, 96, passed away in Ft.

Lauderdale, Florida on Friday, September 8, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of the late John I.

Born in Swansea, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Rose M. (Vaudreuil) Keenan.

Rose resided in Pawtucket most of her life and has wintered in Florida for the past thirty years.

She was a 1939 graduate of Case High School, Swansea where she served as class secretary.

Rose was also a graduate of Bryant College.

She was an accountant for the State of RI, Division of Taxation until retiring in 1983.

Rose was a twelve year member of the Pawtucket School Committee and served as Chairperson in 1972.

She was a Past-president of the former St.

Leo’s Tabernacle Society.

She was the loving mother of Rose Mary Fazio and her husband, Salvatore, John “Jack” J.

McCabe and his wife, Mary, DDS, Donald G.

McCabe and his wife, Kathleen, Patricia A.

McCabe-Rocha and her husband, Joseph; sister of James J.

Keenan; cherished grandmother to Patrick Rocha, Michael McCabe, Esq., Katelyn Salum and her husband, Daniel, Colin McCabe and his wife, Eileen, Kendra Rocha, Carla Fazio and her husband, Patrick Morris, MD and Merrilee Evans; dear great-grandmother to Landon Salum, Theresa McCabe, Austin Evans, Michael Morris, Luke Morris and the late Cooper Salum.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, September 19th at 9 a.m. from the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St.

Leo the Great, 699 Central Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mt.

VISITATION will be Monday, September 18th from 4 to 7 p.m.
