Luis De Nobrega

Pawtucket – Luis de Nobrega, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of M. Fernanda (Nunes) de Nobrega for sixty-six years. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was the only child of the late Joao and Maria P. (Teixeira) de Nobrega. Luis immigrated to the United States in July of 1969 and settled in Pawtucket with his family. He was a former communicant of St. Anthony Church, Pawtucket, and was most recently attending St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket. Luis worked as a machine operator at the former Texas Instruments, Attleboro, for over twenty-five years before retiring in 1996. He was an avid Benfica soccer fan and loved watching the Red Sox and Patriots with his grandchildren. Luis enjoyed spending many summers in his native island of Madeira with family and friends.
