Pawtucket – Luis DaCosta, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 28, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Maria I. (Barbosa) DaCosta for fifty-two years.
Born in San Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Antonio and Tereja (DeSousa) DaCosta.
Luis came to the United States in 1978 and settled in Pawtucket.
He was a machine operator at Northeast Cable, South Attleboro for twenty-three years until retiring.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Aldina Costa and her husband, Kevin Panthon, Ana Tremblay and her husband, Mark, Susana Grasso and her husband, Christopher and Paula Webster and her husband, Jason all of Pawtucket; a brother, Antonio DaCosta of the Azores; seven grandchildren, Trisha, Amanda, Mark, Taylor, Alexandria, Riley and Parker; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Gavin and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Manuel, Jesuima and Angelo.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mt.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.
