Lucy Nunes

Pawtucket – Lucy (Almeida) Nunes, 88, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018. She was the wife of the late George O. Nunes. Born in Cortico da Serra, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio J. and Mary (Marques) Almeida. Mrs. Nunes worked as an assembler at FRAM, formerly of East Providence, prior to retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Pawtucket and a member of the United Automobile Workers. Lucy enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Edward O. Nunes of Pawtucket, Daniel Nunes and his wife Nancy of Cumberland and David G. Nunes and his wife Beth of Pascoag, and three grandchildren, Kristen M. Nunes, David G. Nunes, Jr. and Tyler R. Nunes. She was the sister of the late Leo Almeida. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow in Mt. St....
