Lucy E. Harris

Pawtucket – Lucy E. (Ringland) Harris, 94, formerly of Pawtucket and Little Compton, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late John L. Harris. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Eastwood) Ringland. Lucy was the Chief Clerk and Hearing Officer at the Department of Motor Vehicles, Providence for twenty years until retiring. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Lucy leaves three sons, John W. Harris and his wife, Joan of West Greenwich, Thomas R. Harris and his wife, Bonnie of Little Compton and Steven L. Harris and his wife, Coleen of Cumberland; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David R. Harris and the grandmother of the late Michael Harris. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Paine Cemetery, North Attleboro.
