Lucille M. Humes

East Providence - Lucille M. (Messier) Humes, 79, formerly of Rumford, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012.

She was the former wife of the late George R.

Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Rose O. (Lague) Messier, she resided in the Rumford section of East Providence most of her life.

Lucille was employed in the Recreation Department of the East Providence City Hall for ten years until retiring.

She leaves her daughter, Cynthia A.

McVeigh and Kevin Morris of Rehoboth; two granddaughters, Brittney and Alison McVeigh; her brother, Arthur J.

Messier and his wife, Nancy of Pawtucket and her nephew, Mark A.

Messier and his wife, Alicia of Pawtucket.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation is respectfully omitted.
