Lucilia C. Gomes

Cumberland - Lucilia C. (Albuquerque) Gomes, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel Gomes for nearly fifty-eight years. Born in Pedras Maias, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Abel Carvalho and Joaquina de Carvalho Albuquerque. Lucilia immigrated to the United States in 1968 and settled in Cumberland, Rhode Island. She worked as a braider at the former American Spinning, Inc. of Central Falls and retired in 1992. Lucilia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by four children, Graciete Medeiros and her husband, Robert, Emily Gomes, John Gomes and Lucille Gomes and eight grandchildren, Bobby, Jessica and her husband, Derek, Jacqueline, John Reiner, Zach, Jack, Gabriel and Lucas.
