Pawtucket – Louise D. (Marquis) Donahue, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was the wife of the late James W. Donahue. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Ernest N. and Eva (Denis) Marquis.
Louise worked for many years in the area’s jewelry industry and enjoyed caring for her family. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends alike as a loving and caring person. Louise was described by family as “a celebrity in her own town” and her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-six years.
Louise leaves four children, Michael Donahue and his wife, Marilyn of South Kingstown, Cathleen Donahue of Pawtucket, Patricia Houlker of Cranston and Timothy Donahue in Texas; a brother, Ernest Marquis of Attleboro; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of the late James “Jimmy” Donahue; mother-in-law of the late John Houlker and the sister of the late Eva Cooper and Doris Such.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 26th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the St. Jeane Jugan Residence, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, followed by interment at St. Stephen Cemetery in Attleboro. VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
