Louis Walker

October 9, 1934 — April 29, 2015

Pawtucket – Louis Walker, 80, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy R. (Snyder) Walker for 47 years.

Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Dada) Walker.

Louis served his country proudly in the United States Army during the 1950’s and 60’s.

He then worked as the production control manager for Howard H.

Sweet & Son / Stern-Leach, Attleboro for 35 years until his retirement in 2002.

Louis enjoyed gardening and woodworking and also played softball for Surkont’s Cafe, Japonica St., Pawtucket for many years.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves a son, John R.

Walker of Johnston; three daughters; Maria L.

Walker of Pawtucket, Susan L.

Walker of Cumberland and Pamela A.

Walker and her wife, Megan Costello of Cranston; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Warnick of Cumberland; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Evan, Jaden, Selena, Chloe and Madison; a sister, Doris Arruda of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Nora Walker, Georgette Bankert, Elaine Argencourt and George Walker, Sr.

VISITATION will begin on Sunday at 2 p.m. followed by Services with Military Honors at 5 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to either the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, Illinois 60611 or the Friends of Homeless Animals, Inc of RI, 8052 Bonito Dr., Marathon, FL 33050 will be appreciated.
