Louis V. Pezzi

Pawtucket – Louis V. Pezzi, 74, longtime educator and sports coach, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011. The beloved husband of Jacqueline M. (Champoux) Pezzi, they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2012. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Louis A. and Mary (Romano) Pezzi. Lou served in the United States Marine Corps. A graduate of Providence College, he was a teacher at Shea High School as well as a soccer and tennis coach for many years until retiring. Lou enjoyed golfing and was an avid Yankee fan. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael T. Pezzi and his fiancée, Elizabeth Pavlick; two granddaughters, Lauren and Erin; a brother, Kenneth R. Pezzi and his granddog, Dunkin’. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
