Pawtucket – Lori J. (Werner) Valois, 64, formerly of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of Paul Valois for thirty-six years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Harris) Werner of Pawtucket and the late Donald Werner, Sr.
Lori grew up in Pawtucket and graduated from Charles E.
She continued her education at Rhode Island College where she earned a master’s degree in Special Education and another master’s in Primary Education.
Lori worked for forty-one years working at the Groden Center in Providence as a Special Educator and treatment coordinator.
She dedicated her life to helping students with disabilities and truly loved her work.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Christopher Valois of Pawtucket; a sister, Debra DeStefano and her late husband, Stephen, of Warwick; a brother, Donald Werner of Johnston; a sister-in-law, Denise Valois of East Providence and several dear friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.
